I started this blog with the intention of documenting my training for my first Half Ironman race in late October of 2012. It was kind of fun keeping track of everything so I decided to keep going. Who knows where this is headed but I will keep the information rolling and see where it goes.

Friday 7.27.12
The workout for today was a short 1200 yard swim. The main set consisted of 100 yd freestyle, 100 yard backstroke, 50 yard breast stroke, and a 50 yard kick. This was repeated three times. Between the core work and light weight training, my upper body was a little more fatiqued than normal. My 100s were still in the 1:45 range is my moderate effort speed. It felt nice to get back in the water. I usually have a workout on Friday evening but not tonight. I get to watch the Olympic opening ceremony. I'm not sure how I will mesh my training and the Olympics together. So much to watch and so little time. Thank god for the DVR.
