I started this blog with the intention of documenting my training for my first Half Ironman race in late October of 2012. It was kind of fun keeping track of everything so I decided to keep going. Who knows where this is headed but I will keep the information rolling and see where it goes.

2.13.13 Down and Out
I hurt myself again over the weekend and decided to take Monday off. It didn't feel a whole lot better on Tuesday so I went to the doctor. From reading, it appears to be a sports hernia but there are conflicting signals that may indicate something with my back. My doctor took xrays and the results were somewhat inconclusive. He is referring me to a specialist. I have decided to shut everything down for this week and see how I feel. I was given some hydrocodone. I took one last night to help me sleep. It is the first night in several weeks that I have slept through the night. I feel a little better today which is making me want to work out but I am going to resist the temptation. I have to get this resolved soon, one way or the other. If it's a surgical resolution, I need to get that over with. It is very depressing. I was making really good progress and my running was really coming together. Bummed to no end at this point.
