I started this blog with the intention of documenting my training for my first Half Ironman race in late October of 2012. It was kind of fun keeping track of everything so I decided to keep going. Who knows where this is headed but I will keep the information rolling and see where it goes.

4.15.13 Swim
Today is sort of a rest day. On Monday, I stay off my legs and just swim. 2400 yards today. I took a Shark Salt today before the swim since I was feeling little twinges of cramps last night when I was sleeping. Good news is the swimming seems to work the soreness out from a long weekend of riding the bike and running. The workout today had 300 yards of one armed swimming and quite a bit of kick board work. I felt it in my thighs all day today. Major respect to the people who do these races in the physically challenged division. It's hard not to freak out in the water with all your limbs. Last, the Boston Marathon tragedy is really sad. Hope for the best for the victims.
